A firearm with ammunition and a quantity of white powder were found during a police search in Kumanovo, leading to the arrest of two people.
According to the Ministry of Interior, “On July 27, 2026, at 10:20 p.m., police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department deprived R.S. (45) and D.V. (42), both from Kumanovo, of their liberty,” the Ministry of Interior said.
Police added that during a court-authorized search of R.S.’s home, where D.V. was also present, officers found “a quantity of white powder and a 7.62 mm-caliber pistol without a magazine, as well as ammunition for which he did not possess a permit.” During a search of D.V., “a quantity of white powder was also found.”
“They were taken to a police station and, after the case has been fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed against them,” the statement said.
