The second aerial mosquito control treatment targeting adult mosquitoes will be carried out in Kumanovo on August 5 (Wednesday), starting at 5:00 a.m., the Municipality of Kumanovo announced.
The treatment will cover an area of 1,270 hectares, including the courses of the Kumanovka, Lipkovka, and Kojnarka rivers, the local communities of Babin Dol, Goce Delčev, and Tode Mendol, the central urban area, as well as the area around the Public Utility Company “Vodovod” wastewater treatment plant in the village of Dobrašane.
The insecticide Aqua Perm-X 30-30 will be used during the operation.
The Municipality of Kumanovo is urging beekeepers to take timely measures to protect their bee colonies while the treatment is being carried out.
If weather conditions do not allow the spraying to take place as scheduled, the treatment will be postponed and carried out on the first following day with suitable weather conditions.
