A 57-year-old man from the Kumanovo area suffered serious injuries after losing control of his moped while attempting to avoid a head-on collision with a truck.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the accident occurred on May 29, 2026, at around 5:40 p.m. in the village of Gorno Kojnare, at the intersection of local roads leading to the areas known as Belo Brdo and Mlinari.
Police said that I.Gj. (57) from Gorno Kojnare was riding a Kymco moped with Kumanovo registration plates when he suddenly swerved to avoid a direct collision with an Iveco truck carrying Skopje registration plates and driven by K.T. (61) from Kumanovo. He then lost control of the vehicle and fell off the roadway.
The moped rider sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at Kumanovo General Hospital.
A police investigation was conducted by officers from the Kumanovo Police Department.
