A 26-year-old man from Kumanovo was arrested yesterday in the village of Vojnik after police determined that he was driving despite being subject to an active driving ban.
According to the Ministry of Interior, “On July 27, 2026, at 5:20 p.m., police officers from the Staro Nagoričane Police Department deprived N.B. (26) from Kumanovo of his liberty in the village of Vojnik, Municipality of Staro Nagoričane,” the Ministry of Interior said.
Police added that during a traffic stop, officers stopped a Volkswagen Passat and found that “he was driving despite being subject to an active driving ban.”
“After the case has been fully documented, criminal charges will be filed against him under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code for the offense of ‘reckless driving of a motor vehicle,'” the statement said.
