Hand grenades and artillery shell fuzes were discovered yesterday in an abandoned house in the village of Chelopеk, within the Municipality of Staro Nagoričane.
According to the Kumanovo Police Department, a report was received stating that two hand grenades and two fuzes from 76 mm artillery shells dating back to the First World War were found inside the abandoned property in Chelopеk.
Police officials added that on May 26, 2026, the explosive devices were safely removed by a pyrotechnician from the Directorate for Protection and Rescue.
A team from the Kumanovo Police Department conducted an inspection at the scene, the statement said.
