A 50-year-old man from Kumanovo has been arrested after police determined he was riding a moped while under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.55‰.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the arrest took place on July 11, 2026, at 9:15 a.m. on Oktomvriska Revolucija Boulevard in Kumanovo.
Police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department stopped a Truva moped with Kumanovo registration plates during a routine traffic inspection. Following the necessary checks, officers established that the rider was under the influence of alcohol, with a measured blood alcohol level of 1.55 per mille.
After the case is fully documented, criminal charges will be filed against him under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code, which refers to “reckless driving of a motor vehicle.”
