Awards and recognitions were presented last night at the Craftsmen’s Hall in Kumanovo to the city’s best education professionals for 2026.
Organized by the Association of Education Workers, the event began with the presentation of awards to students and teachers who participated in the competition dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius, titled “From Alphabet to Algorithm – Stories That Live.”
The ceremony continued with the announcement of the best educators of the year.
In Category A – Primary Classroom Teaching, the award for Best Educator was presented to Irena Anastasovska from the Elementary School “Kocho Racin”.
Dafina Josimovska from the Elementary School “Brakja Miladinovci” was named the best educator in Category B – Subject Teaching.
Among secondary schools, this year’s recognition was awarded to Elena Markovska from the Secondary School Gymnasium “Goce Delchev”.
Posthumous recognitions for lasting contributions to education were also awarded to teachers Slagjan Stanković-Bitrak and Lidija Nikolovska Georgievska.
The event was enriched with a cultural and artistic program performed by students and teachers.
