A rally in support of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić was held today in Kumanovo, organized by the Association of Serbs Peace, Harmony, Stability.

The gathering began in the city square, from where participants marched to the Serbian Consulate near the roundabout on Third MUB Boulevard.

Under the slogan “Serbia Wins,” participants said they wished to express support for the Serbian president’s policies and for what they described as Serbia’s progress and development in recent years.

Milena Veličković stated that most attendees were members of the Serbian community in Macedonia, although Macedonians who support Vučić’s policies also took part.

“We all follow his policies and actions and support him. We see the development he has brought to the Republic of Serbia, and we are here as representatives of the Serbian community to show support and respect for his work,” Veličković said.

Responding to public reactions regarding the gathering, she stressed that the event was not intended as interference in Macedonia’s internal affairs.

“Our message is not directed at domestic issues. Our message concerns what we feel is our homeland. We love Serbia, but we equally love Macedonia. We live, work and contribute here. There are absolutely no negative intentions behind this gathering. On the contrary, we want to spread love, happiness and positivity,” she added.

One of the participants, Mance Gjorgjević, said the support was aimed at promoting peace and stability throughout the region.

“We are here to support the president, who represents the Serbian people, and to support peace and prosperity in Serbia and the surrounding Serbian communities, including Macedonia and Republika Srpska. Being Serbian in Macedonia is relatively good. We have never had problems with Macedonians, and God willing, that will remain so,” Gjorgjević stated.
