A 62-year-old resident of the village of Makresh was detained Tuesday night on suspicion of killing a dog inside his chicken coop.
“On May 19, 2026, at 11:00 p.m., police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department deprived Z.T. (62) from the village of Makresh, Municipality of Staro Nagoričane, of his liberty because he killed a dog with a hard object inside his chicken coop,” the Sector for Internal Affairs said.
Police added that the man was taken to a police station and that appropriate charges will be filed against him after the case is fully documented.
