Three men from the Kumanovo area were arrested on Thursday evening after allegedly assaulting a man who, according to police reports, had previously threatened them with a firearm.
“On May 22, 2026, at 10:00 p.m., police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department arrested M.J. (58) from Kumanovo, as well as N.M. (57) and J.V. (40) from the village of Tabanovce, after they physically assaulted M.L. in front of a retail store in Tabanovce. According to the report, M.L. had previously threatened them with a firearm,” police stated.
Authorities said that the assaulted man had earlier attacked another individual who was later hospitalized with serious injuries.
“The General Hospital in Kumanovo also reported that T.M. was admitted with serious bodily injuries after being physically assaulted by M.L.,” the police added.
According to investigators, the three suspects remain in police custody, and appropriate charges will be filed after the case has been fully documented.
