The Basic Court Kumanovo has ordered the removal from the family home of a Kumanovo resident who allegedly subjected his brother’s wife to prolonged psychological abuse and threats.
Meanwhile, police have filed criminal charges against the suspect.
“The Kumanovo Police Department filed a criminal complaint against N.L. (61) from Kumanovo on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of ‘endangering security’ under Article 144 of the Criminal Code,” the Ministry of Interior said.
According to police, N.L. had for an extended period psychologically abused S.L., his brother’s wife, with whom he lives in the same house, repeatedly threatening to kill her and other members of the household.
“Most recently, on May 18, 2026, at around 4:00 p.m. in the family home, N.L. again made threats against her life,” police stated.
Following a proposal submitted by the Kumanovo Police Department, the Basic Court Kumanovo imposed an emergency protection measure ordering his removal from the home for a period of 30 days.
