A 55-year-old man was arrested in Kumanovo over the weekend after police determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding 2‰.
According to the Ministry of Interior, police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department arrested Č.B. (55) from the village of Kuklica, near Kratovo, on July 12, 2026, at 1:56 a.m. on Third Macedonian Assault Brigade Boulevard in Kumanovo.
During a routine traffic inspection, officers stopped a Volkswagen Vento with Kumanovo registration plates. Following the necessary checks, they established that the driver had 2.07‰ blood alcohol concentration.
After the case is fully documented, criminal charges will be filed against him under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code for “reckless driving of a motor vehicle.”
