The Kumanovo Territorial Firefighting Unit (TPPE) has received a new fire engine with a 9,000-liter water tank, donated by Innsbruck Airport in Austria.
The donation was made possible through the long-standing cooperation between the Municipality of Kumanovo and the Austrian state of Tyrol.
With the arrival of the new vehicle, the Kumanovo Territorial Firefighting Unit now operates a fleet of seven fire engines, significantly strengthening its operational capacity to respond to fires and other emergencies.
As part of the handover ceremony, TPPE Kumanovo commander Boris Stankovski met with Astrid Mair, Tyrol’s Provincial Minister for Civil Protection and Disaster Management, as well as representatives of Innsbruck Airport and the commander of the airport’s fire brigade.
As part of the donation, members of TPPE Kumanovo spent five days in Austria, where they completed training on operating the new fire engine.
They also had the opportunity to learn about the organization and operation of volunteer fire brigades in Austria and Croatia.
The Municipality of Kumanovo expressed its gratitude to all partners involved in making the donation possible, describing it as an important step toward improving fire protection and public safety.
