Unstable weather conditions with heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds are expected across Macedonia through the end of the week, according to the national weather service.
The Hydrometeorological Administration said that today, Friday and throughout the weekend, several parts of the country could experience more intense weather activity, including torrential rainfall exceeding 20 liters per square meter, thunderstorms and wind gusts stronger than 70 km/h. Short-term local storms are also possible.
Strong northern winds exceeding 50 km/h are forecast from Wednesday and in the days ahead.
Weather across Macedonia today will remain partly cloudy with occasional rainfall, while western and southern regions are expected to face the highest risk of instability, heavier downpours and strong northwesterly winds.
Maximum daytime temperatures nationwide are expected to range between 16°C and 24°C.
In Kumanovo and surrounding areas, cloudy weather with periods of rain is forecast throughout the day. Light to moderate winds from the north and northwest are also expected.
Morning temperatures in Kumanovo will be around 8°C, while daytime highs are expected to reach 19°C.
